Approachable and compassionate, Stephen balances his knowledge of up-to-date medical information with an easygoing bedside manner. In addition to his focus on preventive care and chronic disease management, Stephen has developed particular interests in treating hypertension and kidney disease. He received his MD from Louisiana State University and completed his residency in internal medicine along with a fellowship in nephrology at the Medical University of South Carolina. Stephen is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

By developing close relationships with her patients, Allison seeks to gain greater insight into the physical and emotional causes of their ailments. She approaches medicine with enthusiasm and empathy, building rapport with her patients and creating a plan of care that is uniquely tailored to each patient's needs. Allison focuses largely on preventive health and education and is especially interested in using integrative medicine practices to treat chronic pain. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire, Allison earned her MD from St. George's University School of Medicine and went on to complete her residency in family medicine at Brown University. She is certified through the American Board of Family Medicine.
A longtime Washingtonian, Sarah Shao spent over a decade in DC before making the move to New York City. The continuity of care and variety involved in primary care has always appealed to Sarah, and she believes One Medical has an innovative approach that embraces technology and uses it to improve access to care. Sarah likes to help patients make the most informed medical decisions that are best for them. She particularly enjoys focusing on disease prevention and treating issues related to cardiovascular diseases, metabolic illnesses, diabetes, obesity and more. Additionally, she is interested in issues around contraception, STD prevention and treatment, eating disorders, and sports medicine. To stay fit, Sarah loves running and enjoys many outdoor activities like ziplining. She also loves eating and discovering new foods. Sarah is active with her church community and volunteers with New York Cares. She graduated from The George Washington University School of Medicine, and completed her residency at Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center. Sarah is experienced in adolescent medicine and is board certified in internal medicine.
With a wide breadth of knowledge and a compassionate demeanor, Beth empowers her patients to better understand their health and take a more active role in preventing illness and improving their overall wellness. After studying human physiology at Boston University, Beth went on to graduate from the University of New England with her master's of science in physician assistant studies. Prior to joining One Medical, she provided primary care at an internal medicine practice in Boston, focusing on chronic disease management, women's health, and travel medicine. Beth is certified through the NCCPA.
Pittsburgh native Jennifer Hankins was drawn to One Medical Group because it supports and fosters her strong focus on preventative care and her interest in treating a variety of conditions. “Nothing embarrasses me,” she says. “So bring on your weirdest ailments!” Jennifer pays close attention to her patients, always striving to compassionately listen to and address their concerns with a caring, straightforward approach. “I treat my patients how I want to be treated,” she says. Jennifer earned her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences before falling in love with New York City, and she is certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She is a pescatarian and avid exerciser, and plans to become a certified yoga instructor in the near future. Hiking is one of Jennifer’s favorite activities, and she often hits the trails with her husband and their Rottweiler/shepherd mix lovingly nicknamed Little Mountain Goat.
Seanna explores the connections between the health of the mind, body and spirit, using acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to activate her patients' natural healing processes and increase their quality of life. She puts patients at ease with her lighthearted manner, and helps restore a sense of normalcy for patients who feel out-of-balance. After earning her master's in social work, Seanna spent several years as a medical social worker at St. Luke's Hospital in New York before going on to receive her master's in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She gained extensive experience by practicing at her own private acupuncture clinic before joining One Medical. She is certified through the NCCAOM.
