I am a psychiatrist with expertise in the care and management of people with medical/surgical illnesses including cancer and HIV/AIDS, and I am the psychiatric liaison to Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Head and Neck Disease Management Team. In addition, I have expertise in treating patients with substance use disorders, and I am in the process setting up a clinic where patients with problems such as alcohol dependence can be evaluated and treated before they undergo surgery.
