Michael Anthony Zacchilli, MD

Description

Dr. Michael Zacchilli is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Orthopedic Sports Medicine surgeon with offices in Manhattan and Staten Island, and specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, hip, and elbow with additional focus on complex reconstructive or revision procedures. He has served as an expert in Orthopedic Sports Medicine for Northwell since 2017 and has been recognized by Castle Connolly as a Top Doctor in New York City. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Zacchilli is heavily involved in medical education as the orthopedic residency program director for Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Zacchilli's clinical excellence is built on a foundation of distinguished education and service. He graduated with honors from Harvard University and the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He completed his residency with the United States Army, where he served as chief resident and was voted the distinguished graduate of his class. Following residency he was stationed at Fort Bragg, where he cared for Airborne and Special Operations soldiers, completed three deployments, and was selected for assignment with the Joint Special Operations Command. After completing his military service, he completed a fellowship at the NYU-Langone Hospital for Joint Diseases.
