Garrett R. Leonard, MD is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in spine surgery. He completed a combined neurosurgical and orthopedic spine fellowship at Harvard Medical School. This unique training provides him the insights of both specialties in addressing complex spinal disorders.Dr. Leonard has experience in treating the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. His special interests include minimally invasive surgery, spinal fusion, artificial disc replacement, revision surgery, disc herniation, stenosis, microsurgery and spinal deformity. He is knowledgeable about technological advances in surgery and uses computer navigation to perform safer and less invasive surgeries. Dr. Leonard has authored numerous articles and textbook chapters. His research is presented at meetings. He won the Young Investigator Award from the Society of Lateral Access Surgeons.
