Megha Prasad, MD, MS, is an interventional cardiologist, Associate Professor of Medicine, Director of the Angina with Non-Obstructive Coronary Arteries (ANOCA) and the Cardiorenal Care programs at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She earned her medical degree from the University of Southern California and a Master's in Clinical Research and Translational Science from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.Dr. Prasad completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, followed by an interventional cardiology fellowship at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She further specialized through advanced training in Complex and High-Risk Percutaneous Coronary Interventions and Mechanical Circulatory Support at Columbia.Dr. Prasad's clinical and research interests focus on coronary physiology, coronary microvascular dysfunction, intracoronary imaging, cardiorenal disease, and women's cardiovascular health. As Director of Columbia's ANOCA Program, she is dedicated to improving the diagnosis and treatment of patients with angina and coronary microvascular disease. She sees patients at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in Washington Heights and is actively involved in patient care, research, and medical education.
