Erin Chung is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in treating individuals and families with a broad range of issues including anxiety, depression, relational conflict, acculturation, stress management, substance abuse and trauma. Erin is experienced in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and psychodynamic therapy, and utilizes other evidence-based approaches to meet individual needs with a person-centered, strength-based and trauma-informed perspective.Erin holds a master’s degree in social work from Columbia University. She completed a post-master’s certificate program in clinical approaches to the addictions from New York University. She has experience working with high-risk adolescents and adults with various mood and/or substance use disorders. Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medicine, Erin worked in a NYS OMH outpatient mental health clinic, where she provided individual, family and group psychotherapy, and supervised clinicians. Currently, she is providing short-term goal-oriented treatment at the Medical Psychiatry Consultants practice at Weill Cornell Medicine. Erin is bilingual in Korean and English.
