Athena Amini, DNP

Description

Athena Amini, DNP, works in the Department of Neurology, Division of Epilepsy. Dr. Amini collaborates in a multidisciplinary practice managing and treating patients with seizure disorders. She earned her BSN, MSN, and her doctorate from Columbia University and is board-certified in Family Health by the ANCC, with advanced clinical training in neurology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and the American Epilepsy Society (AES). Prior to her current role, she served as a neuroscience NP at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where she delivered direct patient care to individuals with complex neurological conditions, including epilepsy, sleep disorders, headache disorders, vestibular conditions, and autonomic dysfunction. Dr. Amini currently sees patients at the Neurological Institute of New York and Columbia Doctors Midtown locations. She also offers telemedicine visits.
