Dr. Kuo is Professor of Medicine and Chief of Digestive and Liver Disease at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. He was at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School leading the Neurogastroenterology group before coming to lead the Division at Columbia. He has over 170 publications and numerous grant awards from the NIH and GI foundations as well as clinical trials in gastroparesis, functional dyspepsia, nausea, cyclic vomiting syndrome, fecal incontinence, Irritable bowel syndrome, GERD and constipation. He has served as the American Gastroenterology Association (AGA) CPT Advisor to the American Medical Association and the Chair of Neurogastroenterology and Motility Section for the AGA and Digestive Disease Week. He has also served as a Governor for the American College of Gastroenterology. He has led numerous CME conferences in gastroenterology and has also led numerous pivotal trials which have led to FDA approval of medical devices in Neurogastroenterology.
