  • Joseph Mizrahi

Founding Partner & Employment Law Attorney

Joseph H. Mizrahi is a client-centered litigator who represents employees in a wide range of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims against employers of all sizes. He has led hundreds of class action lawsuits and individual litigations to secure compensation for violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the New York State and New York City Human Rights Laws, focusing on eliminating barriers to access for the visually impaired on company websites. Early in his legal career, Joseph recognized that consumers, often underserved and vulnerable, are regularly exploited by corporations that prioritize profits over fairness. His work in holding unscrupulous debt collectors accountable for unlawful practices crystallized the stark power imbalance between large corporations and the individuals they harm. This realization was further solidified when he met his first blind client, whose struggles to access basic services, such as navigating a company website, highlighted the systemic barriers facing disabled consumers. This encounter made it clear to Joseph that disabled individuals are among the most vulnerable, often facing not only exploitation but also widespread inaccessibility. Motivated by this, Joseph turned his focus to civil rights litigation, where he has become a passionate advocate for the rights of disabled individuals. His work seeks to hold companies accountable for ADA and New York State and New York City Human Rights Law violations and ensures that the visually impaired, and other disabled individuals, can fully participate in both the digital and physical worlds. In addition to his civil rights work, Joseph holds an invaluable role in prosecuting mass tort and product liability actions, representing over 1,000 claimants who have suffered severe injuries due to unsafe or defective products.
