Dara N. Matseoane-Peterssen, MD, MPH

Description

Dara Matseoane is a clinician, educator and administrator and embraces each role as an opportunity to ensure her patients receive the highest quality of care. Educated at Yale College, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, she completed her residency at Columbia University Medical Center and joined the faculty at NewYork-Presbyterian/Allen Hospital in 2001. Dr. Matseoane-Peterssen is also the director of the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons clerkship in obstetrics and gynecology and uses clinical teaching, didactics, and simulation to enhance student learning and prepare medical students to address the healthcare needs of the women in their practices. Her clinical practice focuses on inpatient obstetric and gynecologic patients and outpatients with abnormal pap smears.
