  • Jill Peacock

    Music Instructor: Vocals & Keyboard

Motown and Bach....Jill's childhood soundtrack was pretty diverse. Growing up in Toronto, she was lucky enough to take piano lessons at a very young age and studied classical piano at the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. She took a brief period to explore her other passions: writing and travel but came back to music at Berklee College. Originally enrolled as a pianist, she was inspired by the many vocalists around her and shifted her focus to studying jazz and soul as a singer. Recently relocated to Brooklyn, she is looking forward to working with her newest project aStridd (www.astridd.com) with guitarist Yasser Tejeda as well as writing, recording and playing new originals. She will, however, always remain a Canadian artist. Also, her newest EP of original Songs Up in the Air, with producer U-Key, will be released soon. Her voice has been described as a mix of Norah Jones and Amy Winehouse. Sweet, sexy and soulful, Jill's music is meant to be listened to closely. Enjoy.
