  • Dennis Gage, MD, FACP

    Endocrinologist

    Dr. Gage is a graduate of NYU Washington Square College, where he graduated Cum Laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from the NYU School of Medicine in 1976. His residency was served at the Mount Sinai Hospital of New York and he completed a sub-specialty fellowship in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Nutrition at St. Luke’s Medical Center. He is currently a Board Certified Diplomate in the specialty of Internal Medicine and in the sub-specialties of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Gage is affiliated as an Attending Physician at Lenox Hill Hospital and The Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Gage has authored numerous articles and research papers on obesity which have appeared in prestigious medical journals. Dr. Gage is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Society of the State of New York, the New York County Medical Society and is on the Medical Advisory board of Laniado Hospital Bildirici Center for Diabetes in Israel. The Permanens™ Lifestyle Change Program (PLC) and Permanens™ Weight Management System (WMS) were developed by Dr. Gage. WMS was created to induce permanent weight maintenance. Dr. Gage is the author of the book, The Thinderella Syndrome: A Practical Guide to Individualized Permanent Weight Loss. Dr. Gage has been in clinical practice for over 35 years and has successfully implemented the PLC Program in his New York City Park Avenue Office.

  • Clifton M. Jackness, M.D.

    Endocrinologist

    A graduate of Yale University, Dr. Jackness earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, as well as a Fellowship in Endocrinology, Bone Disease, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Jackness is licensed in New York and is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, and Internal Medicine. He has been recognized with awards in clinical skills, compassionate care, and teaching. As a keen researcher, Dr. Jackness has been involved in projects investigating Type 2 diabetes and obesity, as well as the hormonal changes that take place after bariatric surgery and weight loss. He was selected to present his work at the American Diabetes Association, New York Academy of Medicine, New York University, Columbia University, and the Obesity Society. In addition, Dr. Jackness has been a chosen speaker at the New York Thyroid Club. In addition, he has been selected to review research articles about male hypogonadism and testosterone deficiencies for MedPage Today. Dr. Jackness is an Attending Physician at Lenox Hill Hospital and The Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the New York Thyroid Club, the Metropolitan New York Bone Club, the Medical Society of the State of New York, the New York County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association.   • Gillian Goddard, M.D.

    Endocrinologist

    Dr. Gillian Goddard attended Arizona State University and graduated cum laude. She completed a certificate in Premedical Studies at Columbia University. Dr. Goddard earned her medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Montefiore Medical Center-Albert Einstein College of Medicine and then returned to Mount Sinai Medical Center for training in Endocrinology, Metabolism, Bone Disease and Nutrition. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Goddard worked in pharmaceutical and medical device research in both industry and academic settings. Dr. Goddard is licensed in the state of New York and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She is a member of the Endocrine Society, The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Goddard has a particular interest in diseases of the adrenal glands and served as the Fellow in Adrenal Disease at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She is the author of several book chapters on adrenal disease and has spoken on the topic at medical centers in New York including Mount Sinai and Beth Israel. She has presented her research at the Endocrine Society, the American College of Cardiology and the American Physiological Society, where she received the award for Predoctoral Excellence in Research. She was selected to participate in the Endocrine Society’s Young Professional’s Forum in 2014.

  • Shira Eytan, M.D.

    Endocrinologist

    Shira Eytan, M.D. attended Rutgers University and graduated with honors. She then received her medical degree from Sackler School of Medicine at the Tel Aviv University-American Program. Her internship and residency training were completed in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan and she then proceeded to complete her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Eytan has presented at multiple regional and national conferences including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology and the Endocrine Society. Recently, she has been recognized by the Endocrine Society with an Outstanding Abstract award. Dr. Eytan is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She is a member of the Endocrine Society and American Association of Clinical Endocrinology. Her specialization includes all aspects of general endocrinology. During her training, she focused extensively on thyroid disorders and malignancies, with experience in ultrasound and FNA procedures, and pituitary disorders including prolactinoma, Acromegaly, Cushing’s Disease, and hypopituitarism. She is also experienced in parathyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, bone disorders, Diabetes Mellitus, PCOS and obesity. Dr. Eytan believes in a patient-centric, whole-body approach to endocrine management.

  • Jordana Turkel, RD, CDN, CDE

    Registered Dietitian

    Jordana Turkel graduated from the University of Delaware with a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics and a concentration in Pediatrics. She has an excitement for healthy eating and believes in counseling through the language of food. She specializes in: oncology, cardiology, maternity (pre/postnatal and lactation), pediatrics, food allergies, behavioral health, GI disorders and ostomy nutrition, weight loss, and diabetes. Additionally. she is a Certified Diabetes Educator and certified in Adult Weight Management. Jordana is Skilled at conducting nutrition assessments, medical nutrition therapy, and diabetes self-management education and has experience in the analysis of patient’s blood glucose, food intake and insulin dose records; as well as interpretation of pump and continuous glucose monitors (CGMS) download. Lastly, she has been interviewed on several news programs including Fox News Radio and WABC7. She is most passionate about helping her clients reach their nutrition goals. Jordana’s nutrition philosophy is that she believes in food first. She assists her clients in achieving their goals through realistic goal setting, including behavioral and lifestyle modifications to make impactful changes that will last long-term. She helps clients become aware of their appetites, discover their unique stomach signals, become mindful, effective eaters and to take back control in order to be in charge of their eating habits. She trusts in individualized counseling that is client driven to build a foundation for healthy living.
