Our highly trained team of podiatrists, Dr. Jonathan M. Levy, Dr. Nadia F. Levy, Dr. Diane M. Castro, Dr. Josef Geldwert, and Dr. Katherine Lai, offer a full spectrum of comprehensive foot health care for the entire family, treating all types of acute and chronic conditions, including flat feet, bunions, heel pain/plantar fasciitis, neuromas, arthritis, Achilles tendon issues, hammertoes, fungal toenails, corns, calluses, warts, ankle sprains, gout, metatarsalgia and more. We know that our patients are very busy people and that’s why at our mid-town Manhattan location we strive to make your podiatric care experience as convenient and efficient as possible.   • Jonathan M. Levy, DPM

    Dr. Jonathan Levy graduated from Syracuse University in 2005 with a degree in Biology. He went on to earn his doctorate degree in 2009 from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York, New York. Dr. Levy completed his three-year residency training in foot and ankle surgery at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, New Jersey. Here, he obtained a vast amount of experience in all facets of podiatry including heel pain, bunions, diabetic foot care, hammertoes, neuromas, ankle sprains/sports injuries, and foot and ankle trauma. During his final year of residency, Dr. Levy was designated as chief resident and graduated in 2012. He also completed an additional course certifying him in arthroscopic surgery of the foot and ankle. Dr. Levy has a long history with sports and has competed/participated in multiple sports including skiing, football, wrestling, gymnastics and baseball. He currently competes in triathlons. As such, he has a special interest in the sports medicine aspect of podiatry and prides himself on understanding the stresses that competitive athletes place on their feet and ankles. He is Board Qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is on staff at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in Manhattan.

  • Nadia F. Levy, DPM

    Dr. Nadia Levy was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. As a result, she is fluent in both English and French, and is proficient in Spanish. After completing her undergraduate studies at McGill University in Montreal, she attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine where she earned her D.P.M. degree, Cum Laude, in 2009. Dr. Nadia F. Levy completed her three-year residency in foot and ankle surgery at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut where she served as chief resident in her final year. She has extensive training in bunion surgery, diabetic wound care, pediatrics, foot deformities, cosmetic foot issues and sports medicine. During her residency, Dr. Levy completed a two-month rotation at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, Maryland where she was exposed to a large volume of pediatric cases and complex deformity correction, such as club foot serial casting and charcot neuroarthropathy.

  • Diane M. Castro, DPM

    Dr. Diane M. Castro is board certified by the American college of foot and ankle surgeons and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Castro is a dual board certified foot and ankle surgeon that is extensively trained in the treatment of a full spectrum of foot and ankle disorders, with an emphasis in tendon injuries, fractures, bunions, hammertoes, sports and dance medicine. Dr. Diane Castro attended New York University, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, while minoring in Chemistry. She earned her podiatric medical degree from The New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she was valedictorian. Dr. Castro completed her podiatric surgical residency in Massachusetts at Cambridge Health Alliance, a teaching hospital of Harvard University; in her final year, she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Diane Castro is an active participant in seminars, labs, and lectures regarding foot and ankle pathologies. She is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). Dr. Castro is affiliated with Mount Sinai Hospital of New York.

  • Josef Geldwert, DPM

    Dr. Josef Geldwert, provides high-quality podiatric care at The Center for Podiatric Care and Sports Medicine in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York. From bunions and plantar fasciitis to reconstructive foot surgery, Dr. Geldwert offers a variety of services to help men and women regain the pep in their steps. After completing an undergraduate degree at Yeshiva University, Dr. Geldwert attended New York College of Podiatric Medicine, earning his DPM in 1973. He completed his podiatric surgical residency at Northlake Community Hospital in Northlake, Illinois. Dr. Geldwert is certified by the following four organizations: American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, and American Society of Podiatric Surgeons. Dr. Geldwert has privileges at the following New York City medical institutions: Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Mount Sinai Hospital, and Mount Sinai Beth Israel hospital.

    Katherine Lai, DPM, serves the men and women of the Upper East Side in Manhattan, New York, at The Center for Podiatric Care and Sports Medicine. Specializing in podiatric surgery, Dr. Lai offers a plethora of services to help men and women quickly get back on their feet. After completing an undergraduate degree at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Lai attended New York College of Podiatric Medicine, earning her DPM cum laude in 1992. She completed her podiatric surgical residency at New York College of Podiatric Medicine Affiliated Hospitals in 1994. Dr. Lai is certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, as well as the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Lai has privileges at the following New York City medical institutions: Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Mount Sinai Hospital, and Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital, and Montefiore Medical Center in North Division, Bronx. She contributes to the New York City Triathlon, Hamptons Marathon and Bridgehampton Half.
